SEIREPOX COAT W AB+ Bacteriostatic Binder | Multi-Purpose Epoxy Resin
SEIREPOX COAT W AB+ is a versatile, water-based bacteriostatic binder that offers high mechanical and chemical resistance. Ideal for primers, non-slip paints, and multi-layer applications, it ensures hygienic, easy-to-clean surfaces suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments.
Product Description
SEIREPOX COAT W AB+ is a versatile, water-based epoxy resin with very low VOC (volatile organic compounds) content. It can be used as a primer, non-slip paint, self-leveling undercoat, mortar binder, and as a base, intermediate, or finishing layer. SEIREPOX COAT W AB+ creates colored, moisture-tolerant, and matte surfaces. It provides a durable, waterproof, non-absorbent, seamless, uniform, decorative, and easy-to-clean final coating that prevents bacterial growth and proliferation under proper hygiene conditions.
While ensuring high-level hygiene, SEIREPOX COAT W AB+ offers long-lasting bacteriostatic properties that make it difficult for a wide range of pathogenic microorganisms to adhere, preventing their growth and spread. It is effective against the following pathogens:
- Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538P
- Escherichia coli ATCC 8739
- Salmonella enteritidis ATCC 700720
- Listeria monocytogenes CECT 5366
Its effectiveness against HACCP and cross-contamination issues is proven with a test certificate from UAB (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona). The paint exhibits minimal yellowing with a semi-gloss satin finish and contains no volatile organic compounds. Once cured, SEIREPOX COAT W AB+ is waterproof, resistant to chemicals, freezing, and weather conditions, and allows water vapor to pass through, creating a breathable surface compliant with HACCP and Occupational Safety regulations.

What are bacteriostatic coatings and their benefits?
Bacteriostatic coatings inhibit the growth and spread of bacteria, enhancing hygiene and preventing contamination on surfaces. They are ideal for environments requiring high sanitation standards.
How do multi-purpose epoxy binders differ from regular binders?
Multi-purpose epoxy binders offer versatility in applications, such as primers, non-slip surfaces, and multi-layer coatings. They provide high mechanical strength and chemical resistance, making them suitable for various industrial and commercial environments.
Can epoxy binders be used in moist environments?
Yes, certain epoxy binders like SEIREPOX COAT W AB+ are designed to tolerate moist surfaces and environments without the need for additional moisture-protective membranes. They are vapor permeable, allowing water vapor to pass through while maintaining waterproof properties.
What is the drying and curing time for epoxy binders?
Drying and curing times can vary based on environmental conditions and the specific product. Generally, epoxy binders reach touch dry within a short period and fully cure within a day or more. Always refer to the manufacturer’s instructions for precise timings.
Are epoxy binders compliant with safety and hygiene standards?
High-quality epoxy binders are tested and certified to meet relevant safety and hygiene standards, ensuring effective protection and compliance with building and occupational safety regulations.
