SEIRE INTUMESCENTE 10: Fire Protection Coating
SEIRE INTUMESCENTE 10 is a single-component, water-based fire protection coating that expands when exposed to flames, creating a multi-cellular insulation foam. It enhances the fire resistance of metal surfaces in indoor settings, offering easy application and compliance with safety standards.
Product Description
SEIRE INTUMESCENTE 10 is a single-component, water-based, expanding coating that swells when exposed to flames, forming an excellent fire-resistant, multi-cellular insulation foam. During a fire, it increases the durability of buildings and structural elements from R15 to R60. Tests are conducted according to EN 13381-8:2010.
Application Areas
• Weakens the effect of flames on metal structural elements in potential indoor fires and provides protection by increasing resistance time.
• Suitable for indoor use
• Suitable for horizontal and vertical applications
• Can be applied on metal surfaces

What is a fire protection coating and why is it important?
Fire protection coatings provide a protective barrier that enhances the fire resistance of structural elements, delaying the spread of flames and increasing the safety of buildings during a fire.
How does a passive fire protection system work?
Passive fire protection systems work by containing or slowing the spread of fire and smoke through barriers such as fire-resistant coatings, walls, and doors, thereby protecting structural integrity and allowing safe evacuation.
Can fire protection coatings be applied to different materials?
Yes, fire protection coatings can be applied to various materials including metal, concrete, and wood, making them versatile for different structural applications.
How long does it take for fire protection coatings to dry and cure?
Drying and curing times vary depending on the product and environmental conditions. Generally, fire protection coatings reach touch dry within a few hours and fully cure within a day or more.
Are fire protection coatings compliant with safety standards?
High-quality fire protection coatings are tested and certified to meet relevant safety standards, ensuring effective protection and compliance with building regulations.
