Versatile ARDEX CA 20 T SMP Polymer Adhesive Sealant

ARDEX CA 20 T is a silan-modified polymer (SMP) adhesive sealant suitable for indoor and outdoor use. It offers high adhesion without a primer, can be painted over, and is resistant to vibrations. It cures without sagging and can be used on various surfaces, including concrete, wood, metal, and ceramics. The product is available in white or gray, has a density of approximately 1.60 kg/l, and cures in about 24 hours for 2.5 mm thickness. Store in a cool, dry place for up to 12 months.

Product Type

Silan-modified polymer-based product that cures and gains strength upon reacting with moisture.

Applications

Used indoors and outdoors, on walls and floors.

  • Bonding profiles, skirting boards, cable ducts, insulation panels, wooden and synthetic elements, metal profiles, parquet and wooden floors, rough surfaces (concrete, brick, limestone), ceramic and various other materials to absorbent or non-absorbent surfaces.
  • Filling and sealing joints between metal, wood, ceramic, and PVC on floors. Provides waterproofing in joints of rainwater collection pipes and gutters on roofs.
  • Used in various sheet metal joints in automobile, container, and caravan manufacturing; high-vibration ventilation ducts; low-movement connection joints; and floor joints.

Important Considerations

  • After drying on the surface, ARDEX CA 20 T can be coated with dispersion, alkyd resin-based paints, and varnishes available on the market. However, due to the variety of paint and coating materials available, it is recommended to test before use to avoid confusion.
  • To facilitate application at low temperatures, store the products at room temperature beforehand.
  • Always read the manufacturer’s recommendations and instructions, including for products used alongside ARDEX CA 20 T.
  • Adhesive residues on unwanted areas should be cleaned with industrial gasoline (White Spirit) or alcohol while the product is still fresh. After curing, it can only be cleaned mechanically.

Packaging

  • 290 ml cartridge
  • 600 ml sausage
